Selection of reviews from recent visitors to Rathosey and Laurel Cottages
My wife and I have spent a few weeks at Laurel Cottage and had a wonderful time! The old stone cottage is lovely, clean and very well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and drier, a reliable broadband internet connection, TV and Netflix. The open fire and a selection of books were great extras for cosy evenings. Extra electric heaters were provided for the bedrooms but we never really needed them as the central heating and thick walls kept us very warm. There are a wooden table and benches right in front of the cottage for a nice cup of tea when the sun is shining. The location is simply amazing, so incredibly quiet and secluded, we could only hear the wind through the trees and the dawn chorus of birds in the morning. The area's great for wannabe explorers with ruins of old farms, stone walls and a fairy ring up the hill (hiking boots recommended as it can get pretty muddy at times!). Yet, you are just a short walking distance to the village with the O'Grady's shop for all necessities and the lovely river walk. Take a torch and walk down to the postbox on clear nights to gaze at a wonderful starry sky. Lots of wildlife in the area, during our stay we have spotted fallow deer on a regular basis, sometimes resting just in front of the cottages, a red squirrel, pheasants, frogs in the local pond, all kinds of woodland birds and even a pine marten! Jack, our host, was very welcoming and amazingly responsive. I would highly recommend Laurel Cottage to anyone, for short or long stays alike. A wonderful place to recharge your batteries and rediscover the simple pleasures of wandering.
Rathosey Cottage is simply one of the most amazing places I have stayed , located perfectly for surfing , between Bundoran and Easky , great location , completely green , beautiful surroundings and super peaceful . The house has a lot of character and the fire just creates an amazing environment . We felt welcome with little touches that made us feel at home . Marilin was very fast at getting back to us and went the extra mile to make sure we had the best possible experience ! Strongly recommend this place !!!
Rathosey Cottage is an absolute gem. We (family of 4) enjoyed a week late October 2019 in the cottage and it was 'home' in no time at all after our arrival. Throughout the booking process Marilin was very responsive and friendly in answering any of my questions. This high level of communication continued throughout our stay. Check in was exactly as described. The cottage is brilliantly secluded, though adjacent to another similar cottage (we had neighbours but never met them as they clearly wanted their solitude too). For a cottage where you feel you're 'getting away from it all', we were still within a 15 minute walk to the local shops and pub. Our stay had a really authentic feel to it and I cant recommend highly enough that everyone take the opportunity to relax in front of such a cosy open fire in a such a perfect setting. The TV/SoundBar and WiFi is a great addition for those who might worry about getting bored, though the cottage also boasts a full bookcase, some boardgames and views looking out with the potential to spot some local deer (which we did). Rathosey Cottage was a great spot - if the prospect of isolation doesn't appeal there is tons to do nearby. We visited the stunning locations of Inniscrone, Strandhill, Rosses Point and ate and enjoyed the views there (all within 30mins drive). We also conquered Knocknarea to visit Queen Maebhs grave, and were mesmerised by the 6,000yr old megalithic Carrowmore cemetery. I wish anyone planning to stay in Rathosey Cottage as wonderful a time as we had.
A perfect little cottage in a nice rural isolated location. The cottage was clean and contained all the necessities that we needed for the week (small kitchen, washing machine, fridge & freezer and Netflix). For being in a rural area there was lots to do all within a short drive (15 to 30 minutes). We loved our first visit to Ireland and definitely would go back to this little cottage again in the future.
Beautiful, idyllic setting nestled in woodland it was the perfect place for a short break for me and my partner. The cottage was easy to get to with google maps using the postal code. We drove from Dublin airport in about 2.5 hours. Key was in a key safe and easy to find. It’s fairly close to Sligo and a lot of attractions, we drove up to the Glencar waterfall and across to Enniskillen in one day out. The cottage had all you’d need for a few days and the kitchen was well equipped. We cooked a few meals during our stay and had no problems. I’d definitely return to the cottage and would recommend it to couples and families.
Such a wonderful and unique opportunity to stay in a part of Irish history and yet with all the modern day touches! Cosy and cute, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay😃
This is a fantastic hideaway and simple to find. Sparking clean with everything you could need to enjoy a bit of unwind time. Location is perfect as you can get to most things you would want to easily.
Continuez bien !
Bien equipada. Limpieza de 10. Comunicación perfecta con Marilin. Entorno increíble. Volvería sin dudarlo
Stayed at Rathosey cottage for three nights at the beginning of August. Three teenagers and myself and we all had a great experience together. Place had everything we needed (and great WiFi & Netflix!). Kids were amazed at the beautiful surroundings and the history of the group of buildings which have been lovingly and sympathetically restored. Little tip-Enjoy a coffee outside listening to the leaves rustling in the morning! Within a short drive from some of the most breathtaking and stunning views in Ireland. Also near great beaches. Hosts were very pleasant and genuinely wanted us to enjoy the cottages and surrounding area which we did gratefully!! Lovely handy village a walk down the road and had all the papers and cakes & sandwiches for a Sunday afternoon! Thanks again Marilin.
We stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful secluded and scenic cottage. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and their directions to the cottage made it very easy to find. We would love to stay here again. Thank you.
Marilin's cottage is very cosy and great if you want to relax for a couple of days. Sligo with all its activities is close enough if you feel like being active. We enjoyed our stay!
A perfect retreat and friendly helpful hosts. Beautiful area
What a find this was. When life obliges you every now and again to seek sanctuary in the peace and quiet of beautiful rural Ireland, please come here and experience it at its very best. This was quite simply the best Airbnb experience we have ever had.
This cottage is very characterful, modern interventions to make it ready for stays have maintained the original sense of the cottage and it's setting. Great base for going into Sligo and for exploring local area including hills at the back, local village, and then forests and beaches a bit farther away. Would certainly recommend a stay here as all basic needs met and extra special feel if you're looking for a rural getaway.
A cosy cottage in an idyllic, lush setting, well set up and a great place to relax or explore the surrounding area. A wonderful experience
Beautiful and stunning outside, cosy and friendly inside.
Marilin's cottage is simply wonderful. Our children (aged 4 and 2) fell in love with the place. We will be back!
Alles super!! Nur zu empfehlen!
We had a wonderful time in Sligo, spending most of our time hill walking & eating. The cottage is cosy and has everything you need. The open fire being our favourite feature 👌
We booked this place because we were looking for a secluded spot to spend New Year. We left it a bit late to book and there wasn't much left so I was a bit worried that this place would be under par, but we were all very pleasantly surprised. I preferred this place to all the other cottages we've spent New Years in. We were attracted by how rustic and secluded it looked on the listing and it delivered the cosy Irish cottage experience extremely well. It's not as small as it looks on the listing but it's very cosy. We were worried that it was going to be cold at night but again, this wasn't a problem. It's well insulated and the fire does a grand job of heating the whole house up. All in all, this is excellent value for money and an experience we'll all remember really fondly. Five stars.
A real find, and an excellent base for exploring Yeats Country, the Ox Mountains and Sligo, Mayo, Leitrim, Donegal etc
Our small family had a very peaceful stay at Laurel Cottage. It’s location is ideal for those looking to get away from it, but with accessibility to amazing walks and beaches. Marilin was a considerate host, she left the heat on and a care package of essentials in the fridge. I would highly recommend a visit to Laurel Cottage.
Great house and facilities, perfect for a quiet getaway, local deer even came for a visit :). We used it as a base for a Sligo surf trip and it worked out perfect.
Great refuge from the storm.
Marilin was an angel. I had to change my plans and they kept the cottage open an extra week to accommodate. The Sligo area is beautiful. Loved the cozy fire during the storms. This place was my refuge. Grateful and blessed.
Very special cottage in a magical location. Had a great time, looking forward to visiting again. Thank you Marilin!
What a glorious experience in a 200+ year old stone cottage. Who knew it would be as comfy as it was, warm, cozy, a fun adventure! We would come back again and again...if we could afford to fly here. Close to Sligo, which is a great little town with many amenities. We use this location to go out to Belleek, the woolen mills in Ardana, go along the wild Atlantic Coast, all so much fun!
Most darling place to recreate while visiting ancient
sites in Sligo area
It's like a hobbit house, completely restored and modernized yet retained it's character in the fertile farmland beneath a canopy of trees. The three of us were delighted as we peeked in each room upon arrival and climbed up the stairs to our light-filled bedrooms. We called the owner Marilin after settling in to thank her for having such a precious place to stay while in Sligo visiting megalithic sites and the shore. We visited with her in person later to learn more about the local history, the restoration work her family has done, and followed her advice for sightseeing and delicious local food. All amenities in house or a couple minute drive into town.
What a great location for a lovely cottage. We even saw a deer a wandering past one morning!
Charming little cottage in a secluded space close to the Ox Mountains and about 20 minutes from Sligo town. The cottage was much better than we could have ever expected and was exactly what we were looking for, we had ample space and everything we needed to set ourselves up for a week. Little fireplace available so we lit the fire most nights with some local turf. A great base along the Wild Atlantic Way
Marilin's place was charming and rustic. Very secluded but still close to town. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place to our friends
They will find a unique place, its like being in a ferry tale!
Marilin went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible
Lovely cottage surrounded by trees. Great chance to spot some deer. We had a very pleasent stay for a few days but could have stayed much longer!
Benbulben in guter Nähe.
Thank you for the wonderful stay..It was absolutely perfect
My husband and
I loved this little, immaculate and comfortable cottage in the woods.
was extremely very organized, clean, and the bedroom was
a relaxing space. The downstairs is a bit dark, but we were fine with
it. The most charming elements of the place: location abutting a
lovely woods, stone walls winding uphill, the stone cottage itself.
Also, please take a close look at the host's very fine, evocative drawings in the bedroom upstairs. A pleasure to look at. Thank you
Great location in a quiet picturesque area. All the basic amenities were available and was well kept considering it is an old cottage. Helpful suggestions for things to do around the local area.
A wonderful experience! A cottage in the woods that is cozy and magical. I brought my mother, my daughter and my lovely wife and we all enjoyed this place very much. I highly recommend this sweet cottage. A great place, wonderful hosts and the Ox mountains in your backyard.
Ideal secluded location to relax and rewind and get away from it all.
Laurel cottage is rustic and quaint. A quiet, peaceful and safe location in the middle of rural Sligo. We had beautiful weather whilst there and enjoyed the break from our busy lifestyles. Nice location for scenic and safe runs along country roads
It’s a charming cottage set in the country. It worked perfectly for my family. I appreciated the simple but modern kitchen with new appliances. Everything we needed was there
Beautiful location, lovely accommodations, great hosts! We wanted to stay forever! A very special place to stay, simple, tasteful, historically rich, and surrounded by nature that is being stewarded with care
The laurel cottage was full of rustic charm with all anyone needs for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the seclusion illusion (meaning we were in the woods but less than 5 minutes from town). We would stay again!
Merci
If you want to experience Ireland, if you want to arrive to a home that you have always known but have never been to....welcome home.
A cottage of age and character, secluded among trees and shrubs, out of sight and sound of passing traffic. Two other smaller cottages share the site. With good footwear and clothing, exploring the surroundings reveal ancient ruins and walls. The two renovated cottages are warm and welcoming. They contain everything needed to be comfortable during your stay, including a welcome pack of tea, coffee, bread and butter. The central heating was set along with fuel for the open fire. The walk to the village was easy, the shop well stocked and adjoining pub very welcoming. Our stay of one week was not long enough to enjoy much of what was on offer in the local area whether on foot, two/four wheels. The local people are as friendly as we are approachable. What was not to like? nothing! We were glad to meet those responsible for the cottages and surrounds. There were four of us staying, age range 33 to 72. Would we stay again? tomorrow would not be too soon.
This is a beautiful cottage in a magical place. It felt like a step back in time only with heat, cleanliness and all the mod cons. The wifi is very quick and reliable and the kitchen was neat and easy. The beds were very comfy indeed and the open fire added all the coziness. It was a great base for walking and sight seeing. We had a lovely time. It was a real treat. Thank you Marilin.
Danke!
A cute and quiet cottage which is well equipped and well located to explore Sligo and the local area. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to our friends and family.
Lovely little cottage very clean very secluded and quiet had Wi-Fi and TV and everything you need in the kitchen shower not the best but all in all lovely places lovely helpful hosts enjoyed our time there
Atemberaubend. Wir kommen gerne nochmal wieder.
Quite, rural location. Only 20mins from Sligo and there was lots to do in the County. The old style cottage is cosy and warm with a comfy bed. Everything you would need is in the small kitchen and the open fire was lovely in the evenings. Surrounded by woodland, our boys loved exploring.
pretty, very quite place to stay. Love the house and the location in the middle of nature. Great place to have a base for surf and golf holiday.
We were looking for a little cottage in the woods, and that's exactly what we found! Marilin's place is a magical hobbit hole. Super cozy, tidy, and quiet -- really, really lovely
We enjoyed our stay here. Marilin has left her place spotless and had left a lovely welcome pack. This spot is very rural and relaxing. Perfect for someone looking to get away from it all.
This is an old country cottage in a very secluded quiet area. The cottage is very clean with a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, oven, microwave and hob. There is a good WiFi connection and central heating. Our host Marilin was very welcoming and was only a phone call away at all times .
We had a fabulous stay at Marilin's stone cottage. It is quiet and secluded, but central for visiting County Sligo. We were very comfortable and had all we needed for a self-contained stay. There's a supermarket and shops 8km away. Would recommend this place for atmosphere alone. Thankyou Marilin.”
Wonderfull cottage near Coolaney. Fully equipped with everything you need and very cozy. Marilin gave us wonderful tips in advance and was very helpful. Any time again!
Such an amazing experience! Our family thoroughly enjoyed the three days we spent at the cottage. Very well equipped. Marilin was very helpful, kind and responsive. We hope to be back soon!
Marilin was amazingly responsive to all our questions and needs. The cottage is rustic and charming and steeped in history. It is near enough to Sligo but a rufuge of quiet and natural beauty. We highly recommend Laurel Cottage
“We spent a long weekend here in a lovely quiet cottage. There were people staying in the cottage next door but we didn't hear or see them once! The cottage is really well equipped and was cosy once we had the fire lit. There was plenty of hot water although given the age of the cottage the water pressure isn't as strong as in modern houses. The cottage is only a 10 minute walk from a couple of pubs and is close to lots of different sights by car including Lissadell House, Strandhill and Sligo Abbey. Would definitely stay here again! ” May 2017
“Een heel goed verzorgd cottage in prachtige omgeving. Zeer aan te raden. Enige minpuntje: de felle lichten op het terrein die de hele nacht branden: veilig, maar jammer van de prachtige donkere Ierse nachten.” May 2017

"Laurel cottage is a lovely little retreat. Very relaxing, lovely location. ” 2017
“We had such a memorable stay at Marilin's cottage. It's a perfect retreat. Marilin was responsive and accommodating at every turn. We will not forget our breakfasts on the picnic table, or nights spent in front of the fireplace after a long day's hike. Thanks again!” April 2017
“Loved our stay at the cottage Peace, quite and relaxation, just what we were looking for but close enough to everywhere we wanted to go - great location” April 2017
“We couldn't recommend Marilin highly enough from start to finish! So friendly and a very nice touch with a goodie box when we arrived. By far the best experience locally in Ireland we have experienced and we will be back! The cottage was excellent too! Wifi for the kids...open fire for the adults! A local farmer with his sheep came to visit and my son was made up that he could touch a baby lamb. All in all an excellent location and just what the doctor ordered! Don't want to go on and on but this gets 10/10 from us. Thank you.” April 2017
“Really loved our visit here, very quiet and secluded. The house is kitted out with everything you could need, and the hosts are warm and approachable. All instructions and communications were very clear. There was a bag of logs and firelighters left for us for the first night, along with some milk, brown bread, butter and jam. There were also some tea bags, coffee, salt & pepper and cooking oil in the kitchen. Pretty much you could arrive late with nothing and be ok until the morning time & shops open. Village is a ten min walk away down a little track; the shop is not huge but enough for papers & milk. Also a great playground in the village at the back of the sports field; there is glass bottle & tin can recycling beside this. In the house, there is a Bluetooth sound bar that you can connect your phone/music player to, combined with excellent Wi-Fi, you will not need to turn the telly on. Bring a pack of cards, light the fire and listen to music. Very much a holiday cottage, but decked out with fresh & clean linens, kitchen stuff and furniture, and absolutely spotlessly clean. Inside it feels more spacious than the pictures can portray. Really enjoyed staying here, will be back. ” April 2017
“Beautiful country cottage. Great base for walks in local environs or just relax in picturesque surrounds.” March 2017
“Great little spot. Excellent host.” March 2017
“The cottage was exactly as we had hoped! A beautiful, quiet location away from the main roads and town centre. The rooms were extremely comfortable and all of us slept like babies! We were sad to be leaving and would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking to have a relaxed weekend away with their friends, family or significant other. Thanks Marilin!” February 2017
The Rathosey Cottage is a little piece of paradise for those who wish to rest in a quiet and peaceful place in the Irish countryside. We had a wonderful family time at the corner of the small fireplace. We will definitely return to Marilin on our next trip to Sligo.-February 2017
This was the perfect place to see in the New Year. The cottage is beautiful and secluded, but is near enough to a shop and a couple of pubs to walk. The cottage had everything we wanted, and we especially appreciated the logs and firelighters that Marilin supplied. Great to have a dishwasher, too. Highly recommended.-January 2017
We wanted a rural cottage for a relaxing weekend in the country and this really fit the bill. We really loved the open fire and the peace and quiet of the setting! Marilin was a great host and provided us with a list of fantastic things to do and see in the area.-October 2016
The cottage was in a beautiful location with good directions and no problem to find. It was very clean and well furnished with everything we needed, excellent location to explore in and around Sligo. Bumped into the hosts on a couple of occasions who were very welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend cottages to anyone else.-October 2016
Absolutely perfect. The cottage was as cozy and comfortable as advertised, and surrounded by beautiful farmland, perfect for walks and picnics. I was able to enjoy the countryside, and easily walk into Cuil Aine to mail postcards or grab a pint at J.J. O'Grady's; a day trip to Sligo (20min drive) was lovely, as well. Marilin has the place in tip-top shape, and I felt completely at home during my stay. And that's not even mentioning the two friendly goats who stopped by a couple of times!-September 2016
Such a lovely, lovely area. The cottage is surprisingly larger than it appears in the photo and easily accommodates 4-5 people. Secluded on a beautiful property, we were constantly amazed by the little touches and thoughtful notes/things they had on hand should you need them. A fully equipped kitchen, washing machine (greatly appreciated after 2 weeks of travelling!), a booklet with handy information - we all loved our stay here. We didn't meet Marilin, however she was excellent with directions, sent a sweet follow-up message to make sure we were doing well, etc. The check-in process was smooth. Located in stunning countryside, about a 20-minute drive from Sligo if you need to get to town. Highly, highly recommend this beautiful home and hope to return again soon!
Marilin is a very helpful and friendly host - we can recommend her to everyone. The Cottage is located beautifully in a calm and nice area. At night you see the stars without any city-illumination and sometimes, if you are lucky, you see deer jumping in front of your door. Since this is a really traditional and old cottage it is not perfect for tall people, so watch out, not to hit your head on the doors. All in all a very nice accomodation!
Marilin went out of her way to make sure we found her location. We received a very warm welcome and she walked us through the cottage and made sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. The cottage itself was 100% accurate to its description on airbnb, very clean and well organized. It is the authentic Irish old stone cottage in the countryside surrounded by woods and wildlife. A very quaint village and others are very nearby for whatever you may need. There are many sights to see within short drives from cottage. We found both the cottage and location more than we expected. We loved being in the woods with large pasture in front. We were able to rest very peacefully as well as see some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery with mountains, beaches, lakes, and so much more. We are already planning our next trip with another stay here at the cozy stone country cottage. We are very happy to recommend Marilin's rental.
We enjoyed a lovely few days at Rathosey. The cottage was exactly as described and with all that you could need for a comfortable stay. A great place to relax, easy to walk into Cuil Aine, and a good base from which to explore the locality. Very peaceful and great exploring for the children. We even enjoyed the visits from the neighbour's very friendly goats! Thank you so much Marilin for letting us stay and being the perfect host.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage - a beautiful area and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Marilin was a lovely host
Rathosey Cottage are very beautyfull and idyllic. We had a lovely time in the cottage and will say thank you for the time. It feels right at home when you arrive. It´s a good accommodation for the north of Irland and Nordirland. Thank you Marilin and family :)
Our stay at Rathosey Cottage was wonderful. The setting is a lush green landscape with privacy and peacefulness of the nature. It is what I imagined Ireland to be . The stone cottage was well equipped and comfortable for our family of 4. The hospitality , communication and willingness of Marilin to help us gave us a feel for the incredible openness and warmth of the Irish people. We would love to return here. I highly recommend this rental.
A truly lovely, secluded, private, comfy cottage. Tastefully and comfortably renovated, with everything needed for a holiday. The kitchen was well equipped, and the washing machine was a welcome addition. Having never had a peat fire before (although we heat primarily with wood at home in Canada) I particularly enjoyed the fireplace with peat briquettes. All prior communications were very thoughtful and professional, and access instructions were very clear and simple to follow.
We had a wonderful stay in Rathosey cottage. The directions were prefect. The cottage was equipped with all the essentials needed for an enjoyable stay, including the makings of a fire for our first night. Marilin was very contactable if needed but left us to our own devices. The cottage had lots of booklets and leaflets on things in the area. The village is 5 minutes walk, with a shop and even a pop up cafe in the community centre on the Saturday and Sunday we were there. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend a stay at Marilin's cottage.
We have spent 3 nights in Rathosey Cottage. I must say, if you want to stay for yourself, this place is something for you! It is quite, pieceful, very beautiful and authentic! Marilin is a great host. Everything was easy. We arrived late and it was not a problem. The cottage was completely ready for us. It was clean and warm. Each and every device had an explanation next to it and we didn't have any problems at all. I would deffinately come back to Rathhosey if I travel to Sligo again!
Marlin and her husband made myself and my friend Gloria very welcome . We had a lovely friendly chat with them . the house is exactly as described. The directions Marlin gave me took us all of 80 miles /120 km right to the door without one mistake . The village is a short walk away the shop has everything food and fuel for the fire. The pub has lovely fresh sandwiches and soup nice friendly atmosphere . there are walks along the river in the village very pleasant .Its a good place to cycle. The trees and garden around the house is heaven if you are a nature and peace lover Rathosey cottage is the place to be I hope to go back again
This is a rare find. The cottage is extremely well equipped. It even has a dishwasher! This is the real experience where the host genuinely cares. Marilin is very responsive but also respects privacy. The location is great and the 5 min walk to the village is lovely. I will recommend to friends and family visiting Sligo.
Me and three friends celebrated Christmas and New Year in Marilin's charming cottage. Before and throughout our entire stay, Marilin did everything and beyond to make our stay the most wonderful time. Not only did she put a wonderful Christmas tree into the house, she also lend us lights and decoration. Marilin is the most caring host you could wish for, checking on us regularly but carefully considering privacy! It was very easy to arrange things with her, as she is very kind, helpful and most reliable. We really do hope to come back in future!!!
What a lovely stay we had, the cottage Had everything needed for a relaxing time amid the idyllic countryside and so quiet. The surrounding area was picturesque and central, perfect for exploring Sligo, Donegal, Mayo and Galway. We will definitely be back.
I so enjoyed my stay at Rathosey Cottage, it was such a fun find in an ideal location. I had the pleasure of meeting Marilin (and her father and son) who provided me not only with guide books, information and a cottage history but a great chat as well. I truly loved this stay for so many reasons: the wild life, lovely walks, relaxation, views, wi fi access, etc. etc.... exactly what I was looking for! I would stay at Rathosey again no question. Thank you Marilin for a wonderful and special stay!
Absolutely loved the cottage and location! We were looking for a place in the middle of nowhere yet close to everything and that's exactly what we got: everything we wanted to see was 20-30 minutes away - Knocknarea, Strandhill, Benbulbin... The equipment of the cottage was the best I have ever seen. Even though in the middle of a small forest, you have internet. The fireplace is a big plus too! The neighbour has two lovely goats who would welcome us in the morning. We were also allowed to bring a small dog. Marilin is absolutely lovely and I will definitely go back there!
This little cottage is an absolute gem, a perfect location for a quiet retreat without being far from the beaten track. A delightful little find and I almost feel compelled to keep it a secret! Everything was ready for us when we arrived and as described. We had a very relaxing few days here and loved being surrounded by the trees and nature, even had the good fortune to spot a few deer walking up through the garden one evening! An excellent experience which we fully intend on revisiting!
